How to do a download speed check
I have a ADSL internet and i really pay high for the speed, but i think still i don't get the speed that i should get. So i need to check the speed manually, How do i do a download speed check? Please help!

The best easiest way is :
Close all the internet based applications and just open one browser window
Navigate to a website that offers free download
Select a file that is large enough to take some time to download
Now start downloading the file and close the browser window
Let the download window open for about 2 minutes
See what speed you get on an average
Now multiply the speed with 8 and the total number which you get is your average speed of your connection

Ok, thanks a lot, i'll try as soon as i reach home, by the time if any other way? I'm really annoyed by the speed i get from my home internet... Thanks anyways!

Also you an visit the website known as speedtest. This will automatically calculate the average speed of your internet connection. You just have to go to this site : http://www.speedtest.net and click on the yellow pyramid [the default closest server] which will check your speed. All the best!
