Mass Effect 3: Not able to connect to EA server
Hello friends I do love to play this kind of games like Mass Effect 3. But when I started playing this Mass Effect 3 demo game I got a pop up saying "Mass Effect server is unavailable at this time". But at the same time I do not get any error on steam. So can someone help me out to solve this problem? As I am dying to play multiplayer part of this game. Thanks in Advance.

Hey friend I am having same problem with my Mass Effect 3 demo and let me tell you I also play Kingdoms of Amalur demo and it also does not connects. I am also confused what should I do as other games like Star Wars: The Old Republic and many more does work properly. I am using Windows 7 64 bit and yes one more thing let me tell you very clearly I am able to play this games properly but only problem is I am not able to connect to EA online servers.

Let me tell you if you do not have Battlefield 3 pass you won’t be able to connect to the Multiplayer of Mass Effect 3. So you would not able to connect nothing else as I am able to connect with other name titles like KoA I am also not able to connect to EA servers. So I think this kind of problem is not there with Mass Effect 3. Can you tell me that if you have used different codes inside Mass Effect 3 which is known as Online Access or something else.

Yes you are right all other games which I play do work on steam but these games are not of EA but Mass Effect 3 and KoA Demo are of EA and they are not working for me too. And because of this I am not able to understand what would be the problem behind not connecting to the EA servers. I have tried many things like I have switched off the antivirus which I have in my computer. I have even tried to restart the router. I also have uninstalled all the other games which I don’t play. But all this things also didn’t help me out. And as much as I know that even if we don’t have the early access to the multiplayer part then also we can connect to the servers.

Okies so you have an antivirus in your computer. I think the connection which you are trying to make is not getting upto the servers. As many routers do not block any kind of outgoing traffic from your end so it would be an issue of any software or may be the antivirus. And one more thing never switch off you antivirus as it is a very risky thing to do such kind of actions as it can get you machine infected with the virus attack.

Heya guys I am also facing the same problem as you all have. But yes I am able to connect to EA servers. But the main problem I am facing is when the connection has been created to the server I get popups above the Alliance network screen on top and as soon as I get the pop up the game crashes. So to avoid this I tried to go offline and again when I came online and tried to connect to the server the game crashed again. So I need help regarding this issue and if it is a bug then also let me know and if possible I hope they will fix it as soon as possible.

Hello everyone over her who all has problems I think I have found a way out for you all. Hope this method helps you out as it helped me. Just go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\ then search for “hosts” file and delete the file after doing this restart the game and it works great.

Thank you for your help but it’s is not helping me as I am still not able to connect to mass effect 3 servers or any other of EA servers. As I did deleted the hosts file as you said but I am still not able to connect to any servers. And this is not the first time I am having problems with EA servers as before also I was having problem while connecting to Autolog playing another EA games I was not able to connect to the servers.

This is a really very horrible problem as if we are not able to connect or access any EA servers and because of this we are not able to validate the in-game bonus contents of the Collector Edition.
