How to fix The Sims 3 Showtime Crashing
I am also very frustrated. The game closes without warning or just freezes also I got Error Code 12 after Showtime was installed and ditched my recent save file to be on the save side. Of course I did remove all content except the official expansions before Showtime or any patch was installed. Actually my game crashes whether CC is installed or not. I am playing in Sunset Valley most of the time and I placed two new locations in SV with Edit Town. After that the game kept crashing about every fifteen minutes, my world is not modified with Caw; I have only placed a couple of official lots. Please can anyone suggest me how to solve crashing issue thanks in advance..

Re: How to fix The Sims 3 Showtime Crashing
I have gone through the below steps on mine system: go to the start and after that make click on the control panel. Now on the control panel got o the system and after that click on the advance and under that Performance Settings. Now on the Performance Settings go to the Data Execution Prevention tab and under that make check mark on Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select check box and after that click on the add button. Now here add your Sims game, expansions and Stuff Packs to the DEP exception list.Sims 3 base game:
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin\TS3.exe

Re: How to fix The Sims 3 Showtime Crashing
Try Running the game in compatibility mode and removing Mods/Custom Content: This method only works for some Windows Operating Systems, so check it out for yourself
Go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\ and right click on ALL of the game's .exe files (FROM ALL OF THE FOLDERS, ALSO THE EXPANSIONS'!) and choose "Properties". Now on the properties got o the "Compatibility" tab and choose to run in Windows 95 compatibility mode from drop down box.

Re: How to fix The Sims 3 Showtime Crashing
This might be issue with the NVIDA, ATI etc. graphic cards and so therefore I would like to suggest you to go through the below steps: open your NVIDIA or other video card control panel, then select tab 3D settings, go to manage 3D settings, scroll down to "Vertical Sync" . Now in Vertical Sync tab choose Force off and restart your computer. This has been worked for .

Re: How to fix The Sims 3 Showtime Crashing
hello every time when i install a new EP or SP i have to add it to my list of exceptions under the DEP tab and this is very frustrating. i have downloaded the game and navigated to EP from the Origin folder instead of the EA folder but after that also i am getting the same issue.

Re: How to fix The Sims 3 Showtime Crashing
I would like to know why its automatically assumed that its a computer problem when there are a TON of people having issues with showtime. I never once had a problem with my game until showtime. And my laptop is top of the line...but showtime constantly freezes then crashes. and i know its not my pc. i have every expansion pack in existence...no issue till now.
