Firefox preferences holding problem
Hi friends I am having Acer business laptop with windows Vista installed on it. I am using the mozilla firefox for browsing the internet daily all was running smoothly till i got a problem with Preferences not holding in my firefox. If I move a book mark up in its list when I next log on it has reverted to its original position. When i update tthe firefox with an Add-on but again after a short span of time the add-ons disappear automatically. Because i get the add ons update nessage again. Please help me to solve this problem.

It seems as your Computer has been infected by a virus or a malicious program. Try to remove these infections by scanning your system. It might be possible that your Antivirus might not be updated (if you have it installed on your system) .Download the malwarebytes antimalware utility from the internet which is available freely. After installing it run a quick scan and i hope this will solve yur issue.

Your problem must be due to the corruption of your system because of some viruses running under your computer system. Firstly get this all cleaned and then uninstall the Mozilla firefox. Then restart your system and install the mozilla firefox again on your system. I hope that this will resolve your issue.

I have also faced the same problem before but tried all these steps that are mentioned above have not helped me until i restored my system from the windows system restore. I have to restore my system to a system restore point that i have created some time before . If this does not helps you than try to install the firefox to some other location.
