Error 0 in Google chrome
Hello there, I have a computer which has Windows XP professional installed on it. The computer has Internet connection and I use Google Chrome as the default browser on my computer. Recently Google Chrome started behaving weird. Whenever I want to visit any website on Google Chrome it gives "Error 0 (no network) : Unknown error". The websites who's URL is put in the address bar is not visible and the browser notifies that the website has been moved. I dont know what does Error 0 in Google chrome in Google Chrome means and hence need your help in sorting the problem.

Re: Error 0 in Google chrome
I think the version of the browser which is installed on the computer has got corrupt and hence you are not able to use it for surfing. All the applications have many files which are required for proper working of the application. If any of the file associated to the application gets corrupt then the application does not work properly. I think you are also facing the same problem due to which you are not able to access any of the website using Google Chrome. Uninstall the browser and remove all the files that are related to it. Once all the files related to the browser are removed, download and install the latest version of the browser. Reinstalling the browser will definitely solve the problem.

Sometimes the applications and addons which are installed on the browser, corrupt the files of the browser and which leads to browser not working properly. Check if there are any applications or addons installed on the Google Chrome and try to disable them. Disable all the applications and addons to check if the browser works properly without them. If the browser works properly with all the applications and addons disabled, then find and remove the application or the add on which is creating the problem which you are facing.

Before doing any troubleshooting with the computer, first check if the Internet is working properly or not. It is possible that the computer itself is disconnected from the network and hence the browser is showing no network connection. Contact the ISP and get the link which is providing the bandwidth. It is possible that the link which is providing the bandwidth is faulty and hence you are not able to connect to Internet using the browser. If the link is faulty, tell the ISP to rectify it and then check if you are able to use the browser to surf or not.

I think the computer which you are using to connect to the Internet is infected by some virus which is not allowing you to access the Internet using the browser. Scan the computer using an updated antivirus and the check all the files which are infected. If there are any infected files on the computer repair or quarantine the infected files and then see if you are able to access the Internet using the browser or not. If the files which are used by the browser are infected then you will have to install the browser again as the corrupted files will create problems.

Re: Error 0 in Google chrome
By looking at the symptoms of the problems it looks more like browser hijack than a virus attack. In browser hijack all the preferences of the browser and the network are changed due to which the user is not able to access the Internet. Try using some other browser to access the Internet and then see if you are able to access all the websites or not. If the other browser works fine, then remove Google chrome and remove all the keys which are associated to it using regedit. If you want then again you can install the application.
