Symbian smartphone: Edimax Technology to establish operations in India

With a focus onmarketing and distributing advanced networkingproducts, the global leading player in the networking products, Edimax Technology announces that it is going to ramp up its operations in the Indian market.

The company has appointed Ravians Kumar as Director Sales-India, OBM Sales Division to take care of whole region and very soon there will be four business development managers onboard to represent four regions – Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore & Kolkata.

Recently, the company also has invested in opening its corporate office at Nehru Place, New Delhi. The company has appointed two national distributors i.e. Jupiter International Ltd. & Neoteric Informatiqe Ltd. to make the products available across various markets.

Hunter Chen, Sales Director, OBM Sales Division, Edimax, said, “In order to make the sell-in and sell-out smooth, Edimaxhas plans to appoint 30 sub-distributors across the country by December’2008 and they have already appointed 13 sub-distributors in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad and Baroda. The company is looking at B- & C-class cities like Chandigarh, Jaipur, Guwahati,Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Kochi & Trichi to appoint rest of the sub-distributors.”
